About us
The Second Chance Support Group is an independent organization formed to assist those awaiting liver, kidney or pancreas transplant and those that have received a liver, kidney or pancreas transplant at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. The group is not affiliated with the Mayo Clinic in any way. The mission of the group is to offer support to patients, caregivers, family and friends going through the period of time leading up to the transplant and to provide ongoing support after the transplant is over. The group sponsors frequent activities listed under the Events section.

The time awaiting transplant can be fraught with  many questions, issues and concerns. The goal of this group is to share common concerns and experiences with each other and see how others may have dealt with the same or similar issues and concerns.

The "lending closet" is sponsored by The Second Chance Support group and contains a wide variety of household items you may need to establish a home base while in Jacksonville. All items in the closet are free for you to use as you see fit. To look at the lending closet inventory or to donate items to the lending closet please contact Marge Hahn at pnbhahn@bellsouth.net or 904-821-0891

Meeting every Thursday at 11:00 a.m.
